Regardless of my opinion on whether the ethical use of generative AI is possible, the ‘HUMAN MADE’ logo means that behind the work bearing this label, there is an authentic human creative process and effort.
Using AI to generate a specific sound is one thing. But creating a piece mainly from prompts and presenting it as one’s own? That’s something else entirely.
Personally, I prefer to make it crystal clear: I do not use AI at all in my artistic work — not even partially.
It’s too easy to create an instrumental album with AI and pretend it’s yours. The HUMAN MADE logo isn’t even anti-AI; it’s simply my only defense against the mass production of garbage.
